When I got these, it was not entirely obvious to me that one had to cut the toe-region to accommodate to the correct size. I used normal scissors. At first, I cut too little. I was being cautious. This made them uncomfortable. After about a week I cut a little more, to the right size, and they were very comfortable.

In the past month I’ve tried brands walk hero (1star), powerstep pinnacle (4 star), and powerstep work (4 star but higher arch than I need). These New Balance Casual Flex Orthotic Cushioning Shoe Inserts are the only ones I can tolerate for several hours. I only need a neutral arch support. The cushioning in these gave me superior comfort over the other brands I tried. My foot pain stems from inflammation, so it’s not plantar faciitis related. I wear a 7 wide in women’s shoes.

Do not forget that with an insole you are adding to the overall volume you intend to shove in the shoe!New Balance is one of the only shoe makers that make a 16 EEEEEE, bless them forever! They make a great orthotic insole to boot (pardon my pun).The insole takes up some precious real estate in the mid-foot, which is fine for those narrower of foot, but it makes my 6E shoes feel like a 4E. And that can ruin your day.However, for most of us Bigfoot wannabes the NB shoe itself is crafted with the sore foot in mind and orthotics aren’t as necessary as they are in Propet shoes which are ugly, uncomfortable, and overpriced in my opinion.

Liked the comfort & support but the liner adhesive wasn’t very good on the insoles I received. Not expected out of a pair from a well known brand & at this price. Cheaper off brand insoles I’ve purchased have done this before. That is why I tried these!

The insert fits well inside my New Balance runners. The price, IMO, could have been lower; maybe around $40. Time will tell if this outlasts the runners.

I decided to buy these to put in my new balance 990v. I’ve been walking in these shoes for about a year and the original soles were shot. Bought these and they feel better than brand new. I can walk longer and my back and shoulder pain disappeared on 5 mile walks. Absolutely recommend these. They are pricey but so far , worth the price.

Bought this for my hiking shoes. It is comfortable and pretty good for my hiking. But the problem is that it does not last. Just after two day’s 15 hours total mountain hiking, both had fallen apart.
